Still trying different setting on my camera.  One day I will know what I am doing!  It might be a long someday!

Momma and a baby.  I watched as she fed her baby.

I call this...holding on my the skin of my teeth.

She's all puffed up about something.

I was hoping he would fan his little tail...

Being Lazy In The Backyard

. Saturday, August 3, 2013 .
Since I had nothing else to do today decided to take my book and camera out to the backyard and sit and wait to see what I could get shots of.  I tried using different settings on the camera so some of the pics aren't as clear and sharp as I would like for then to be.

Opps, one of the front yard snuck in there.

This squirrel has some nerve...the feeders were empty and he was not going to let me sit on
my duff.

He came right to my chair and literally barked at me...sounded like a little dog, seriously!

So I got him some sunflower seeds.

And then the googan birds showed up!

After eating all the sunflower seeds I hooked him up with some peanuts.

I even left him some for a midnight snack.

Lazy Afternoon

. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 .
I have been wanting to do this for such a long time but just never made the time...until this morning!  When I grow up and have my big girl photography panties on I want to be like Denise!  She knows what all the camera terms mean and she knows how to work all the bells and whistles on her camera.

So this morning bright and early...during that golden hour...I took my sweet tea, hoodie and cameras to her house.  We sat on the deck and this is some of what we saw...I came home with close to 300 shots of hummingbirds and blue birds.  I won't torture you by posting them all.  I have chosen what I think are the best of the lot.

I still have lots to  learn.  Ad we have made another play date but I have promised to bring the manual so we can go through it and learn about all the bells and whistles on my camera.

Thanks Denise...I had more than a little fun!
